New to Dervish and need ideas
I have not played Guild Wars in some time. I just started back up and wanted to make a Dervish. I plan on PvE mostly. I was wanting to know would D/W or D/A be a better fit for a Dervish.
Thanks,
Omigon

You can change your secondary profession anytime after you complete the quest where you clear out the Sunspear Sanctuary (iirc).
So, assuming you're just a beginner, I would go D/A since the only real reason to go /W is for "Save Yourselves!" and Wild Blow.
As a sin you can use skills like Shroud of Distress and Shadow Refuge to heal yourself as you get used to the game.
Eventually, you'll probably wanna go /W for Save Yourselves as the +100AL will be much better for your entire team.

go /W, wild blow is useful for those pesky kournan rangers that you'll meet up with a lot.

In Random Arenas (4v4 PvP), I use: Wounding Strike, Eremite's Attack, Wild Blow, Pious Restoration, Attacker's Insight, Dwayna's Grace, Heart of Fury, and Resurrection Signet.

Eremite's Attack, in RA? Use the other one, you'll have a much better chance of actually hitting the +30, or even any bonus damage at all.

Just go War. Better for pvp, and you can pick it up at the beginning. Another reason is money, Alot of warrior skills can be aquired by doing quests in Prophecies.
The only reason for taking /A is because of running builds.
@Puebert, Why would he go /A for healing? Dervish has alot of healing skills... ._.

Scythes already hit 3 enemies...bringing that instead of a fast activating attack skill seems more of a slowdown.

I use it because it does +18 damage and doesn't cost energy. It helps me manage it.

This is Campfire, it's meant for PvE, not PvP...

Hitting all adjacent foes is better than hitting your target and 2 adjacent foes. As long as there are more than 3 enemies adjacent, Whirlwind Attack isn't a slowdown, it's mass pain delivery to enemy mobs.

/W for "Save Yourselves!"
Yes its that ridiculously good that you have an entire secondary for that one skill. Wild blow is good too.

Maybe people forget that Wild Blow is an automatic critical hit... ungodly damage with a Scythe's damage is always a good thing, and with the ability to hit up to 3 targets (target and up to 2 adjacent foes) it's not like you won't rebuild your Adrenaline for "Save Yourselves!" in short order...
